For UPSC 2026, candidates generally need to be Indian citizens, hold a Bachelor’s degree, be aged 21-32 (with relaxations for reserved categories), and have a limited number of attempts (e.g., 6 for General), meeting these criteria as of August 1, 2026, with final-year students eligible provisionally.
